How do I choose the right youth bike size?
Youth bike sizes (12″, 16″, 20″, 24″) correspond to wheel diameter and are generally suitable for:
- 12″: 2-4 years old (30-39″ tall)
- 16″: 4-6 years old (39-48″ tall)
- 20″: 6-9 years old (48-56″ tall)
- 24″: 9-12 years old (56-62″ tall)
When in doubt, measure your child’s inseam and compare to the bike’s minimum seat height.
